How much prize money does the winner get at the 2024 DP World Tour Championship?
The 2024 DP World Tour’s Race to Dubai comes to its conclusion this week at the DP World Tour Championship at the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, which will potentially see two different winners crowned, although Rory McIlroy will be hoping he is the only one.
Who’s playing in the 2024 DP World Tour Championship?
Firstly, the final tournament of the year will feature the tour’s top 50 ranked players in 2024, with two high-profile exceptions. World No. 5 Ludwig Aberg (ranked 21st) and former No. 1 Jon Rahm (38th) had qualified to play but won’t ultimately be involved, with the Swede recovering from knee surgery and the Spaniard enjoying family life after the birth of his third child.
McIlroy is the star attraction in the field, which also boasts a number of European Ryder Cup players (Tyrell Hatton, Tommy Fleetwood (seventh), Robert MacIntyre, Thorbjorn Olesen, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose), Americans Billy Horschel and Johannes Veerman and (past and present) PGA Tour regulars Joaquín Niemann and Adam Scott.
2024 DP World Tour Championship prize money
As the DP World Tour’s flagship event, the DP World Tour Championship is also its most lucrative.
The tournament has a total prize fund of $10 million, with the winner taking home $3 million, the runner-up $1.27 million and the man finishing last $33,500.

Secondly, the final event of the season will also see the winner of the Race to Dubai crowned. McIlroy is in a very strong position to top the rankings and can only be overtaken by one man: South Africa’s Thriston Lawrence.
Both players know exactly what they need to do on the Earth Course to finish in top spot, although Lawrence must also hope McIlroy isn’t on top form.
The top 10 on the Race to Dubai will share a $6 million bonus. $2 million of that will go the winner, with the second-placed finisher taking home $1 million and the man in 10th $150,000.
How, when and where can I watch the 2024 DP World Tour Championship?
The 2024 DP World Tour Championship takes place between Thursday, November 14 and Sunday, November 17.
However, as Dubai is nine hours ahead of the east coast of the United States and 12 hours head of the west, the action will begin in the evening of Wednesday, November 13 for some stateside viewers, who will have to stay up late/get up early to watch.
If you’re in the United States, you’ll be able to watch all four days of the tournament on the Golf Channel.
