12:40 pm ET Parx (Race 1) – Be Water 6/5 (2-star play)

Be Water debuted with a 4-length victory in a 5.5-furlong maiden special weight on a sloppy main track at Parx in October 2021. She has been lightly-raced since and was returning from well over a year off the track when 6th in a $25,000 starter optional claimer at Parx at the start of last month.

The filly was 6th in a $25,000 claiming event subsequently and, dropping markedly in grade today, is taken to register her first victory since joining the Jamie Ness barn.

2:59 pm ET Parx (Race 6) – Midnight Chrome 8/5 (2-star play)

Midnight Chrome finished 2nd when contesting a $25,000 claiming event over a mile at Aqueduct in April and has won both his subsequent starts. The most recent of those came when he delivered a 5.25-length victory in a $25,000 starter allowance event over a mile at Parx 3 weeks ago.

Top jockey Paco Lopez boasts a 39% strike-rate (39/100) at this meeting and, having won on the pick the last twice, he is taken to steer the gelding to a third consecutive triumph.

4:47 pm ET Parx (Race 10) – Tribord 7/2 (2-star play)

The daughter of Successful Appeal had disappointed in 3 starts for the Scott Lake stable prior to delivering a victory when racing at this level in a mile contest at Parx just over 2 weeks ago.

The 5-year-old was dropping in grade and stepping up in distance that day having finished a well-beaten 4th over 6 furlongs in a $10,000 claimer on her penultimate start. Positive tactics also appeared to help that day and she can complete a double.
