1:05 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 1) – Short Shrift 8/5 (2-star play)

The 3-year-old Short Shrift showed ability on a sloppy main track on her sole start as a 2-year-old, finishing a respectable 6 lengths 3rd in a 6-furlong maiden special weight at Aqueduct.

She changed trainer following that effort and performed well when coming from off the pace to deliver a 1.5-length 4th in a 7-furlong maiden special weight at Belmont earlier this month. She is taken to deliver a victory under Flavien Prat with the step up in distance expected to suit. 

2:38 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 4) – Program Trading 7/5 (2-star play)

Program Trading was purchased for over $350,000 as a yearling in the UK in October 2021 and the son of Lope de Vega made the perfect start to his racing career when delivering a 5-length victory over an extended mile in a maiden special weight at Monmouth Park last month.

He delivered a big speed figure on that occasion and looks capable of taking this contest for top handler Chad Brown to maintain his unbeaten record. 

4:48 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 8) – Rossa Veloce 2/1 (2-star play)

Trained by Rob Atras, Rossa Veloce delivered an impressive 5.25-length victory when making all the running in the 6-furlong Correction Stakes on a sloppy main track at Aqueduct in March.

She has failed to deliver a victory in 2 subsequent starts with both of those coming at Grade 3 level. She gets a drop in grade today and looks up to registering a 10th success having faded late on when 3rd in the Grade 3 Vagrancy Stakes at Belmont last month.
