Viral TikToker Hareem Shah has sought and received police protection in London after being harassed and threatened by individuals who allegedly claim she has robbed them of over £5,000 revealed the social media star in an interview with a local news publication.

Last week, videos and pictures of the iNFLuencer from anonymous accounts began circulating social media, which Shah has vehemently refuted and slammed as being deepfake. “These are all British Pakistani people behind this, and they only went after me after I helped a girl who was being blackmailed,” stated Shah, calling her accusers members of the “mafia”.

“They all have ties with various political parties,” she added. “Maybe they thought that the UK is like Pakistan and they can get away with it, but I have dealt with them in a legal manner. How could these people lie like this and descend to such tactics, especially during Ramazan?”

Shah, 32, originally from Bahawalpur, left Pakistan a year ago and initially moved to Manchester before relocating to London to escape harassment. Refuting the accusation of theft laid against her across social media, Shah countered, “If I had really stolen money from anyone, wouldn’t they have gone to the police and tried to have me investigated? Why would they try to harass me and threaten me and malign me on social media instead?”

Having filed a defamation suit against those who have lambasted her on social media, Shah is hopeful that appropriate action will be taken.

“I am very thankful to the police, who have been protecting me and also giving me financial assistance,” expressed Shah. Using her wide reach to advocate for women, the social media star also revealed that she has joined a women’s rights group. Shah has often been embroiled in controversy since becoming amassing a large following on TikTok and becoming active on X and YouTube.
