H24 1480 more species of animals are at risk.

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has placed an additional 1480 species of animals and plants at risk of extinction. The IUCN, while publishing a ‘Red List’ of endangered species on Tuesday, stated that due to environmental changes, hundreds of plants and animals are facing increased threats.The snow leopard is also endangered.

The IUCN’s ‘Red List’ includes a total of 30,000 species of Animals, birds, and plants at risk of extinction.

IUCN’s Acting Director General, Grethel Aguilar, said, “Environmental changes are exacerbating all these numerous risks that Animals and plants are facing, and we need to take decisive action soon to address this crisis.They stated that the new figures indicate that human activity has a significant impact on wildlife. According to the organization, the natural habitat of wildlife is being destroyed due to human’s limitless desires, leading to an increase in environmental pollution.

The IUCN stated that there is a worrying decline in 73 species. The release of the IUCN Red List coincides with a conference on environmental changes in the Spanish city of Madrid.

Recent statistics make it clear that environmental changes pose the biggest threat to the survival of Animals.Rhinoceroses also endangered because of hunting.

The increase in temperature poses a threat to hundreds of species of birds and plants, while there has been a decrease in the number of various fish and sharks living in natural waters.

Recent reports indicate that 37% of fish species in Australia are at risk of extinction.

Over the past 30 years, there has been an 80% decline in a particular species of sharks
