With his contract set to expire next summer, Taylor remains focused on the immediate task of helping Celtic secure a domestic double, rather than his future at the club.

Since taking over from Kieran Tierney in 2019, Taylor has solidified his role as a key player and one of the dressing room leaders at Parkhead. Celtic have brought in permanent signings, as well as loan players, to challenge Greg Taylor for the place, but he’s emerged victorious each time.

At 26, he has become integral to Brendan Rodgers’ defensive setup, contributing significantly to Celtic’s pursuit of the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup titles.

Despite the looming uncertainty, Taylor expressed a composed attitude about his contractual situation, emphasizing his dedication to the team’s success in the remaining fixtures. “I have one year left but there have been no talks,” Taylor said. “I’ve just been focused on finishing the season strongly. We’ll see what comes of it. I just want to do as well as I can for Celtic.” [Football Scotland]

As Celtic approaches the climax of the season, Taylor’s future will likely come into sharper focus once the campaign concludes. For now, his attention remains fixed on contributing to Celtic’s success on the field, with the assurance that his contractual situation will resolve in due course.
