Two years ago, Wendy Broom was abruptly awakened by her daughter’s urgent plea. A small, hairless puppy was wandering aimlessly across the road near their house, a clear indication of abandonment. In a sorry state, with visible cuts and scrapes and dangerously underweight, the helpless creature was in desperate need of help. Without hesitation, Broom sprang into action.

Reflecting on their journey together, Broom believes that Taylor’s arrival was no coincidence. “I really believe she came to us for a reason,” Broom said. “We rescued her, but I also think she was sent to us to help us be able to transition because our senior dog was getting older. He passed last week, and he was the one that taught her how to be a dog.”
