From the Celtic academy, several talented Footballers have emerged. Current first-team members Callum McGregor, James Forrest, and Anthony Ralston have all come through the ranks at the club.

Real Sociedad left-back Kieran Tierney also graduated from the Hoops’ academy before going on to star for the senior side.

The success stories are plenty, but other players perhaps don’t make it to the heights of their peers.

Indeed, many ex-Bhoys still play their Football in Scotland. The likes of Marcus Fraser and Stephen O’Donnell turn out for St. Mirren and Motherwell respectively but one man who has been setting it alight close to home is Calvin Miller.

Currently at recently crowned League One champions Falkirk, the 26-year-old has excelled this season. He is in the running for the third tier’s PFA Player of the Year award and across the four SPFL leagues this season, he has the most assists with 14.

For said stat, he leads some big names like Matt O’Riley, James Tavernier, and Luis Palma:

Although he made five first-team appearances for the Hoops, Miller never noticeably broke through and perhaps with the Bairns, he has found his level.
