One of the most popular Games from 2014 is making a comeback. Yes, Flappy Bird is returning to iPhone and Android in 2025.

It’s 2014. People on the internet have been going crazy over this stupid little Game. You decide to download it and give it a try. It’s as stupid as you expected it to be, and infuriating… and addicting. Soon, you’re sinking hours into it trying to beat your personal best and your friends’ best. You’ve become one of the addicts, but before you slide even deeper into your addiction, the Game’s creator decided to pull the Game from stores.

It’s 2024. The thought of Flappy Bird hasn’t entered your mind in years. You’re an adult now. You have responsibilities. But like Robert Downey Jr. coming back to the MCU as Doctor Doom, you find yourself in utter disbelief at the news. You wonder if this is real life (or is this just fantasy?) or perhaps this is fake news, but it isn’t.

The addictive game Flappy Bird is returning in 2025

Almost ten years after it was taken off the App Store and Google Play Store, the infamous Flappy Bird is set to make a comeback in 2025. The Game became enormously popular back in 2014 with its developer earning USD 50,000 a day from the ads in-Game. However, its designer, Dong Nguyen, decided to pull the Game from stores because people were getting too addicted to it.

Over the years, devices that still had Flappy Bird on them became almost like a hidden gem and were being sold at ridiculous prices. The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey claims that her iPad still had the game on it. Some people were on a quest to once again play the popular game to beat their score. Though an arcade version and a revised version that came out on Amazon Fire TV were released, they still weren’t the original that fans were looking for.

But just yesterday, it was announced that Flappy Bird is coming back. After Gametech acquired the trademark for the Game, the developer announced that a remake was on the way. The remake will have new features and characters but will still retain the classic addictive and frustrating Gameplay.

No specific date has been given for the remake’s release other than 2025, so expect to lose yourself to hours upon hours of flapping once again just like the good old days.
