Erik ten Hag does not expect Manchester United to be without Marcus Rashford for long after the forward was forced off injured in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

Rashford returned to the starting lineup after being dropped for the defeat to Chelsea, but managed just over an hour before limping off shortly after the hour mark this weekend and being replaced by Antony.

Injuries have proven particularly problematic for Ten Hag in recent weeks, but the boss does not believe Rashford is dealing with anything serious.

"I'm not sure, but I don't think it will be long term," he told MUTV after the Game.

A formal diagnosis is expected on Rashford in the coming days, with Ten Hag hopeful of being able to call on the 26-year-old soon enough.

United Travel to face Bournemouth on April 13 before turning their attention to the FA Cup semi-final, with Coventry the unlikely opponents eight days later.

Ten Hag is hoping to welcome centre-backs Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans back into his side before the FA Cup clash, while fellow defenders Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez face longer on the sidelines.

On the left of defence, Luke Shaw is battling to return before the end of the season, while understudy Tyrell Malacia may not be seen at all this campaign.

Striker Anthony Martial is also missing after undergoing groin surgery in January. He is expected to be released at the end of the season and may have already played his final Game for the Red Devils.
