Erik ten Hag hails 'unstoppable' Marcus Rashford
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has labelled Marcus Rashford as 'unstoppable' in wake of his match-winning performance against Everton in the FA Cup.
The Red Devils booked their place in round four with a 3-1 win against the Toffees at Old Trafford on Friday. Rashford grabbed a third-minute assist for Antony with a brilliant low-driven cross, before he forced an own goal out of Conor Coady with a similar delivery after the break and rounded off the scoring from the penalty spot in stoppage time.
Rashford has now scored in each of United's five Games since the World Cup break and is one of Europe's most in-form players right now, with Ten Hag lavishing praise on the forward following Friday's victory.
- Marcus Rashford owes his form to the new culture at Man Utd
"From the first minute I think Marcus was the one who showed the confidence and the belief. He was taking on players and I think for 90 minutes he was a threat to the Everton defence," Ten Hag said.
"In Football it is hard to measure but with a striker you measure goals and assists - today he has two assists and one goal. He has fantastic skills and when he has mental stability he can keep going.
"That demands a lot from us as a team and an organisation to make sure we have the right environment and culture. When he keeps focus like this for sure he can keep this going
"As a team we have to make sure we create the space, playing to his strengths. That is about Marcus doing really well but also the team, getting into the shapes. I think he is unstoppable with his speed, his dribbles and his directness."
