New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart draws an Indiana Fever defense that has had significant issues defending opposing players in the paint all season. Through eight Games played in the 2024 WNBA regular season, the Indiana Fever are currently ranked an abysmal tenth in total points allowed in the paint a Game (37.6) and ninth in defensive rebound percentage (67.6%). Keep in mind that the WNBA has 12 teams in the entire league. Clearly, being ranked tenth in any team defensive category is never a good thing.

It should be mentioned that talented Indiana Fever forward Temi Fagbenie has been ruled out for tonight’s Game. The loss of Fagbenie should allow New York Liberty Breanna Stewart more freedom to score in the paint.
