Over on the Auburn side, they’ve opened up a nice 3-0 run thus far, with only one Game ending up close. The Tigers blitzed Vermont in their opener 94-43. Game two was a 74-69 escape versus Houston, then came a more comfortable 79-56 win over Kent State.

Matched up against the Flashes on Wednesday, Auburn was up 36-22 by halftime. After a 43-34 second-half advantage, the Tigers took the eventual win 79-56. Johni Broome had 18 points with 12 boards, and Chaney Johnson added 18 points with five rebounds. Auburn will take on Iowa State after this one.

Auburn vs North Alabama Prediction

I might take a stab at North Alabama here. The Lions have been a feisty team so far this year, and if not for a slow first half against Samford in their last Game they’d be undefeated. North Alabama posted 44.6 percent shooting with 44 rebounds in that one but were hamstrung by 60.5 percent (23-of-38) from the line and 14 turnovers.

As for Auburn, they had a pretty routine win over Kent State in their last outing. The Tigers ended up shooting 49.1 percent from the floor with 41 rebounds and 23 assists. Auburn should control this one from wire to wire, but if the Lions can get into a nice shooting rhythm and make their presence known on the boards I can see North Alabama covering.
