Draftkings Best CFL Showdown Picks: Redblacks vs. Alouettes 10/14/24

Ottawa Redblacks quarterback Dru Brown has certainly been playing quality football entering this week’s game with the Montreal Alouettes. Having stated that, how has Brown performed from a statistical perspective this season? Let’s review Dru Brown’s recent game data from the 2024 CFL regular season to answer that question.

In the 13 games that quarterback Dru Brown has played for the Ottawa Redblacks this season, Brown has compiled 3,114 passing yards 11 passing touchdowns, and 44 rushing yards.

More recently, in the Ottawa Redblacks 41-27 victory over the Toronto Argonauts three weeks ago, Ottawa quarterback Dru Brown tallied a massive 349 passing yards and one passing touchdown,

Looking closer at the data just presented, in the Redblacks win over the Argonauts just mentioned, Dru Brown compiled 21.4 Draftkings points. It has to be said, those are the type of DFS numbers I am looking for from a player that I select at the captain position for a Draftkings CFL Showdown contest.

In my opinion, Dru Brown is the most likely player to post the most Draftkings points in this CFL regular season Game. For that specific reason, I am backing Ottawa Redblacks quarterback Dru Brown at the captain position for this CFL slate.

Walter Fletcher, Running Back, Montreal Alouettes $12,700

Montreal running back Walter Fletcher has been a key contributor to the Montreal Alouettes offense in 2024. Let’s review Fletcher’s recent game data to better shed light on my previous statement.

In the 15 Games that running back Walter Fletcher has played for the Montreal Alouettes in the 2024 CFL regular season, Fletcher tallied 674 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, 65 receptions, 596 receiving yards, and two receiving yards.

Looking closer at the data just presented, in the 15 games that Walter Fletcher has played for the Montreal Alouettes this season, Fletcher has averaged a respectable 15.3 Draftkings points a contest.

Khalan Laborn, Running Back, Ottawa Redblacks $7,200

In addition to Dru Brown, Redblacks running back Khalan Laborn has been a key contributor to the Ottawa offense in 2024. In his last four games played for the Ottawa Redblacks in the 2024 CFL regular season, Ottawa running back Khalan Laborn has accumulated 244 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, 17 receptions and 91 receiving yards.

I fully expect the talented Ottawa running back to continue his outstanding play versus the Montreal Alouettes on Monday afternoon.
