The New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers meet Saturday in MLB action from Comerica Park. Here’s a Detroit Tigers vs NY Yankees Prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Tigers vs Yankees pick.

New York Yankees Betting Preview

In their last set the Yankees played the Chicago White Sox. Following a 12-2 loss in the opener New York took wins in the next pair to take the series. In the Friday opener versus the Tigers, the Yankees powered out a 3-0 shutout victory. Starter Gerrit Cole finished with 6.0 innings, four hits and two walks.

Starter for Saturday will be the Tigers’ Keider Montero. So far Montero is 3-5 with a 5.76 ERA in the first 10 Games (nine starts) of his career.

Detroit Tigers vs NY Yankees Prediction

I’ll probably still lean toward the Yankees here. Rodon is pitching pretty well lately. Over his last three starts, Rodon is 3-0 with just five earned in 17.1 innings of work. As for Montero, he’s 2-1 with nine earned runs in 18.0 innings over his last three starts.

On Friday, the Yankees got a great pitching effort across the board. The bullpen only gave up one hit and no walks, capping a nice performance from Cole. I think New York will keep rolling on the mound Saturday, but it’d be nice to get the bats going.
