The Minnesota Twins and the Detroit Tigers meet Friday in MLB action from Comerica Park. Here’s a Detroit Tigers vs Minnesota Twins prediction. This will be the first installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.
Minnesota Twins Betting Preview
The Twins played the Philadelphia Phillies in their last series. Minnesota lost 3-0 in the Tuesday matchup, but otherwise took victories 7-2 and 5-4 in the other pair. In the Wednesday victory, the Twins got a solo homer from Matt Wallner.
For the starter gig on Friday the Twins will send out Pablo Lopez. This year Lopez is 8-7 with a 4.86 ERA in 20 starts. Lopez is 47-46 with a 4.00 ERA in 146 career starts.

Over on the Tigers’ side, they just finished up against the Cleveland Guardians. Detroit lost two of the first three Games in that set, then in the finale the Tigers posted a 3-0 shutout win. Detroit scored all three of their runs in the second inning.
It’ll be Keider Montero in the starting role for the Tigers on Friday. This year so far Montero is 1-3 with a 5.97 ERA. He’s got 26 strikeouts to his credit in six Games (five starts).
Tigers vs Twins Pick Injury Notes
Twins CF Byron Buxton exited Wednesday’s game due to a forearm contusion.

Detroit Tigers vs Minnesota Twins Prediction
I’ll probably go with the Twins here. Lopez was pretty shaky earlier this month, posting six earned in 5.0 innings during a loss to Houston. Since then however, Lopez has just three earned combined over 12.0 innings. As for Holton, he’s got 4.2 clean frames over his last three outings.
The Twins did fairly well versus the Phillies this week—aside from their Tuesday goose egg, that is. Minnesota has now scored four or more runs in four of their last five Games, so if they can keep the offense going the Twins should be in good shape.
