College Football Week 2 opening lines, odds and best bet | Pickswise
Week 1 of the college Football season is almost in the books. It was an exciting week of action and there were plenty of eye-opening results. Miami took care of Business against Florida at the Swamp. Notre Dame went into Kyle Field and defeated Texas A&M. Penn State’s offense looked crisp in its win at West Virginia, unlike Clemson’s offense – which didn’t score a touchdown in its 34-3 loss to Georgia. As we turn the page on Week 1, it’s time to look forward to Week 2 and a fresh slate of Games and lines for the first time in months. Let’s take a look at some of the biggest college Football Week 2 matchups with the latest odds and lines, and cap it off with a college Football best bet to make right now.

College Football Week 2 best bet: Nebraska Cornhuskers -6.5 (-110) over Colorado Buffaloes
Colorado’s season began with a Friday night thriller at home in which they narrowly escaped with a victory over North Dakota State. The Buffaloes struggled to contain the Bison offense, yielding 449 total yards and losing the time-of-possession battle by more than 13 minutes. However, Colorado’s offense looked extremely potent against their FCS opponent, accumulating over 500 yards of total offense – 445 of which came through the air. It won’t be as easy for the Buffaloes in Week 2, though. Nebraska was top 15 in total defense and scoring defense in the FBS last season, and the Cornhuskers returned 70% of their production on that side of the ball, including top corner Tommi Hill.
Nebraska’s offense is led by true freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola, who looked good against UTEP in Week 1. The freshman passed the ball 36 times, completing 25 of those attempts with 238 yards, 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. This is a big step up in class for Raiola, but he will benefit from this Game being at home in front of the Nebraska faithful. It also helps to be playing against a defense like Colorado’s, which did not seem to be vastly improved from last season in its win over North Dakota State in Week 1. After a slight adjustment of Colorado in my power ratings, I have this Game around -8 for Nebraska and would recommend a play on the Cornhuskers at -7 or better.
