The Seattle Mariners and the Cleveland Guardians meet Tuesday in MLB action from Progressive Field. Here’s a Cleveland Guardians vs Seattle Mariners prediction. This will be the first installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.

Seattle Mariners Betting Preview

The Mariners took on the Texas Rangers over the weekend and did quite well. Seattle won all three of those matchups 3-2, 7-5 and 5-0. In the Sunday shutout win, the Mariners got 8.0 clean frames, two hits, no walks and nine Ks from starter Logan Gilbert.

For the starter gig in the Tuesday matchup the Mariners will send out Bryce Miller. This year so far Miller is 5-5 with a 3.48 ERA in 14 starts. He has 80 Ks in 82.2 innings. Miller is 13-12 with a 4.00 ERA in 39 career starts.

Cleveland Guardians Betting Preview

Over on the Guardians’ side, they played the Toronto Blue Jays in their weekend series. Cleveland won the first installment of that set 3-1 but then lost the next pair 5-0 and 7-6. In the Sunday loss, Guardians pitcher Ben Lively managed 4.0 innings with four earned runs on six hits and three walks.

It’ll be Triston McKenzie in the starting pitcher role for the Guardians on Tuesday. McKenzie is 3-3 with a 4.10 ERA and 65 Ks in 68.0 innings over 13 starts this year. In his career McKenzie is 21-27 with a 3.80 ERA in 81 Games (77 starts).

Cleveland Guardians vs Seattle Mariners Prediction

I’ll stick with the Mariners. Miller has two great starts and one rough outing in his last three appearances. In the one bad start, Miller gave up seven earned on six hits and three walks in a no-decision versus the Royals. In the two good ones Miller posted 13.0 innings, zero earned, five hits and three walks. As for McKenzie, he’s given up 11 earned runs over his last 15.2 innings total. McKenzie’s last start wasn’t too bad, though: 5.1 innings with two earned in a win over the Reds.

Seattle scored 15 runs over three Games this past weekend, which was quite an improvement over their eight runs in the three prior to that. If the Mariners can keep the bats going Tuesday they should be in good shape.
