Celtic Starting XI for Ross County; Idah Starts
Celtic have named their starting XI for today’s Scottish Premiership match against Ross County, with few surprises in Brendan Rodgers’ selection as the Hoops look to continue their unbeaten run in the league.
Kasper Schmeichel starts between the sticks, with a back four of Alistair Johnston, Auston Trusty, Liam Scales, and Alex Valle, who steps in for Greg Taylor at left-back. Both Taylor and Cameron Carter-Vickers remain sidelined, though they are expected to return after the international break.
The defence will be looking to equal the record of seven successive clean sheets at the start of a league campaign today.
In midfield, captain Callum McGregor anchors the team, with Arne Engels and Reo Hatate playing ahead of him. Hatate returns to the starting line-up after being benched for Paulo Bernardo on Tuesday night against Borussia Dortmund.
Up front, it’s a trio with Nicolas Kuhn, Adam Idah, and Daizen Maeda leading the attack. Idah, who has been in fine form with four goals in his last four Games, replaces Kyogo Furuhashi, who drops to the bench for this one.
