All 8 remaining teams were in action for their respective division series Game 1s on Saturday. Now the National League takes center stage by itself on Sunday. The Philadelphia Phillies and New York Mets will square off at 4:08 before the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres meet again at 8:03, with both showdowns televised on FS1.

Let’s take a look at today’s best bets, and also check out our MLB picks for each Game.

New York Mets vs Philadelphia Phillies best bet: Over 7.5 (-115)

The Mets are waiting until the very late stages of Games to heat up their bats, but better late than never! And when the total is a modest 7.5, scoring in just a couple of innings can be enough to get the job. It has been an absolutely absurd week for New York, which clinched a wild-card spot with an 8-7 victory over the Atlanta Braves before beating the Milwaukee Brewers in the first round thanks to a 4-spot in the ninth inning of Game 3 after trailing 2-0. The Mets trailed Philadelphia 1-0 going into the eighth on Saturday and ended up winning 6-2. I think their offense can stay hot since it will be facing Christopher Sanchez instead of Zack Wheeler in Game 2. The visitors are countering with Luis Severino, who has surrendered at least 3 earned runs in 4 consecutive starts – 2 of those coming against none other than the Phillies. Philly was rusty in the series opener, but it won’t be in Game 2. Give me the over.

San Diego Padres vs Los Angeles Dodgers best bet: Dodgers ML (-142)

It just feels like if the Padres were going to sink their teeth into this series, it would have happened in Game 1. The Dodgers were at home resting for most of the week, and we all saw how that worked out for them (and other teams with byes) last year against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Sure enough, Los Angeles immediately fell behind 3-0 on Saturday. It also trailed 5-3 only to storm back for a 7-5 victory. Now the home team sends Jack Flaherty to the mound in an effort to seize complete control of this NLDS showdown. He has been stellar since coming over at the trade deadline. The Padres are getting behind Yu Darvish, who has been good in 2024 but has a history of coming up shot in the playoffs. It’s the Dodgers who have momentum and are playing at home.
