Scotland’s hopes to stay alive in the EURO 2024 have boiled down to a crucial face-off with Switzerland tonight, with potentially four Celtic stars to play a role.

After a grim display against Germany, seeing them thrashed 5-1 last Friday, it’s make or break at the Euros for the Tartan Army.

Callum McGregor, despite facing criticism for his less-than-stellar performance in that mauling by Germany, should retain his place, says Kris Boyd.

On the flip side, Anthony Ralston might find himself benched after the shaky defence last time out, with Kris Boyd banging the drum for James Forrest to start in the right wing-back role.

While Greg Taylor and James Forrest were left twiddling their thumbs on the bench against Germany, tonight could see Forrest unleashed from the get-go, tasked with turning the tide for Steve Clarke’s side.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. A victory would not only elevate Scotland to a respectable three points, but also line them up behind the Germans—assuming Germany dispatches Hungary in their match which is about to kick off at the time of writing.

With the Germans expected to ramp up to six points, Clarke’s Tartan Army would find themselves in a promising position to sneak into the knockout stages, needing only a point against Hungary in their final group Game.
