Celtic Injury Boost Ahead of Trip to Motherwell
SNS Group has captured images of the full Celtic squad in training ahead of Sunday’s league match against Motherwell, with encouraging news for Hoops fans: Cameron Carter-Vickers, Greg Taylor, and Alistair Johnston were all present on the training ground.
Carter-Vickers has been back in training since last week but missed the squad for the match against Aberdeen and did not Travel with the team for their Champions League clash in Italy.
Greg Taylor, who has been sidelined since before the international break, also made a welcome return to training. Rodgers had said that the left-back would be back on the pitch this week.
Alistair Johnston, who delivered a superb performance against Atalanta, was also in training, despite showing signs of fatigue and severe cramp towards the end of the midweek Champions League match. Johnston pushed through to the final whistle, falling to the ground in exhaustion, but appears ready to go again on Sunday.
Rodgers will likely address the readiness of Carter-Vickers and Taylor in his pre-match press conference as Celtic looks to extend their strong domestic form with the squad now close to full strength.
Motherwell is a ground that Celtic struggled at last season, relying on late winners, but the Hoops will look to get back to winning ways after drawing against Aberdeen last week.
