Cardi was tardy! But she made it just in the Knick of time.

Cardi B showed up to Game 5 of the Knicks’ playoff series against the 76ers with just three minutes left in the fourth quarter, Page Six hears — because her chest “bust out” of her top on the way to Madison Square Garden.

Sources tell us the “WAP” rapper’s mishap had her scrambling back to her closet to get fixed up while her husband, Offset, continued on to catch the big Game from the beginning.

(We’re told Cardi let staffers at the famed arena know she wasn’t going to make it to her priceless court-side seat on time — so nobody was upset about the near-no-show.)

We’re told the hip hop superstar and her entourage finally hustled frantically into the venue with three minutes left on the clock (sporting, by that point, a roomy blue shirt, plaid skirt and, according to Vogue, a rare Himalayan Birkin).

As she rushed past hoops fans Cardi yelled that she was late because of a “wardrobe malfunction,” we hear.

The game went to overtime, so her buzzer-beating efforts were not in vain — she at least caught some action.

Cardi and her on-again hubby were shown on the Game’s TV broadcast at the end of the fourth quarter.

The Knicks lost to the Sixers 106-112 in the overtime “heartbreaker.”

But they still lead Philadelphia 3-2 in the series heading into Game 6 on Thursday night.

Reps for Madison Square Garden didn’t comment, and reps for Cardi didn’t get back to us.

Also at the game were stars including Ben Stiller, Sting, Julianne Moore and Tracee Ellis Ross.
