Ashneer Grover responds to 'great host' Salman Khan about Big Boss confrontation | The Express Tribune

Indian businessman and former judge of Shark Tank India Ashneer Grover, has addressed the confrontation with Bollywood actor Salman Khan on the popular reality show Bigg Boss 18 and called the suerstar a great host.

A day after Salman Khan confronted Ashneer Grover on Big Boss about his previous comments, Grover took to his LinkedIn and X (formerly Twitter) accounts to respond to the actor's criticism.

Ashneer Grover called Salman Khan a “great host” of the reality show but maintained that all the figures he had mentioned in his earlier podcast interview were accurate. Ashneer also insisted that he had never said anything demeaning about Salman.

“I hope you enjoyed the Bigg Boss Weekend Ka Vaar! I had good fun. And I am sure the particular episode got great TRP/viewership. BTW all of my statements below are TRUE,” Ashneer wrote, before addressing the controversy directly.

In his post, Ashneer noted, “Salman is a great host & actor. Salman knows what works on Bigg Boss. I’ve always praised Salman for his sense of self and Business – not a single thing demeaning said for him ever.”

He further explained the details of their 2019 meeting, saying, “My deal numbers are always correct (bank/auditor verified). Met Salman in an exclusive meeting on the brand collab for 3 hours in May 2019 in JW Marriott Juhu – along with the director of ad (it’s ok if he doesn’t remember me – I was not a public figure then – he meets tons of people).”

Ashneer also addressed the invitation he received to appear as a guest on Bigg Boss, adding, “The invite for coming as a guest on Bigg Boss was not ‘unnamed’ – just like the cheque for the same,” and concluded by stating, “And finally, I’ve a pic with him – which I didn’t earlier.”

The controversy stems from earlier comments Ashneer made in a podcast, where he revealed that he had negotiated Salman Khan's endorsement fee for BharatPe down from $890,000, to $530,000. He also claimed that Salman’s team had refused him a photo with the actor at the time of their collaboration.
