Three defeat on the bounce, one win in seven games, and yet another game of missed chances - it's fair to say that things aren't going particularly well for Arsenal at the moment.

Despite having 18 shots on goal on Sunday, the Gunners were once again made to rue their lack off ruthlessness in the final third in their eventual 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.

Here's Arsenal's best and worst players in the FA Cup third round loss, according to 90min's player ratings.

Arsenal's best player vs Liverpool

Martin Odegaard: 8/10

The Arsenal captain did absolutely everything he could to try and get the forward line firing on Sunday.

Odegaard created four chances for his teammates during the defeat, only to see said teammates squander every single one of them.

We imagine it was quite a frustrating day at the office for Odegaard.

Honourable mention

William Saliba: 7/10

The towering defender provided 'William Saliba - GOAT defender 2023/24' YouTube highlights package creators with some premium content with his stunning challenge on Darwin Nunez in the second half.

He's the best defender around right now.

Arsenal's worst player vs Liverpool

Kai Havertz: 3/10

The sole reason why Arsenal will not be in Monday's fourth round draw is because they missed clear cut chances against Liverpool, and Kai Havertz missed a large bulk of them.

Shifted into a centre forward role for the game on Sunday, the ex-Chelsea man was pitifully frugal in front of goal, spurning opportunity after opportunity after opportunity.

The performance was yet more proof (if needed) that Arsenal need to sign a potent striker during the current January transfer window.

Dishonourable mention

Bukayo Saka: 4/10

Saka's worst performance ever in an Arsenal shirt? Probably.

The wide forward simply wasn't at the races on Sunday, and like Havertz he missed a number of big chances.
