Angel Reese rocks custom diamond grill and backless beaded dress at 2024 WNBA Draft
Angel Reese entered the WNBA in style.
The former LSU basketball star rocked up to the 2024 Draft on Monday night in a shimmering low-cut gown complete with a custom diamond grill.
Reese turned heads when she stepped onto the orange carPet in a semi-sheer Bronx and Banco dress ($1,450) covered in beads.
The 21-year-old made a statement in the sleeveless design, which featured an open back, deep cowl neck and hood.
The self-proclaimed “Bayou Barbie” added even more sparkle with a white gold and diamond grill made by jeweler Essense Martin, who told TMZ that Reese’s bottom grill was comprised of near-flawless VVS diamonds, which range from $425 to $650 per tooth, according to the jeweler’s website.
Along with the pricey diamond-encrusted piece, Angel also commissioned two other custom grills from Martin — one for each side of the top of her mouth.
While both teeth caps featured the same white gold and diamonds, the left side bling featured a fun heart design. Plus, Martin also surprised the star with another custom bottom grill spelling out her last name as a gift for making the WNBA.
The 6’3″ forward showed off her new jewelry on her Instagram Story before arriving at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York.
“DETAILS,” she captioned a close-up photo of the finery.

Reese also put her ice on display after being selected by the Chicago Sky as the seventh overall pick.
After walking across the stage, Reese shared an emotional moment with former college coach Kim Mulkey.
Like with everything she does, Reese announced she was entering the WNBA draft in style; The championship-winning player revealed she was taking her talents to the big league through a high-fashion photoshoot with Vogue.
“Of course, I like to do everything big,” the All-American told the publication. “I didn’t want anything to be basic.”
In the shoot, Reese donned a series of different sporty looks, from a baggy, basketball-inspired Diesel set to a red maxi T-shirt dress from Valentino.
Yet Reese isn’t the only rising star who has been pushing the fashion boundaries.
Caitlin Clark, the No. 1 draft pick, made history Monday night when she attended the big night wearing a full Prada outfit — becoming the first athlete the fashion house has dressed, male or female, for the NBA or WNBA Draft.
The former Iowa Hawkeye looked chic in a white double satin Prada miniskirt ($1,750) and matching shirt ($5,500) layered atop an embroidered rhinestone mesh top ($3,750).
Clark, who wore over $10,000 in jewelry, finished off the look with sleek sunglasses ($531), black leather slingback pumps ($1,200) and the Galleria mini bag ($4,100).
However, the newest Indiana Fever player swapped her heels for a cozy pair of Uggs during interviews.
