All About the One-Of-A-Kind Porsche Cayenne Minivan Mark Zuckerberg Gifted His Wife
How do you celebrate the fact that you are world’s third-richest person? For Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, gifting a one-off custom minivan for the better half was one way.
Zuckerberg’s car collection is unique, ranging from basic hatchbacks like the Honda Fit to an exotic Pagani Huayra supercar. Hence, for his next addition, he chose to go the extra mile by commissioning Porsche and West Coast Customs to build him a one-off minivan. Yes, you read that right. A Porsche Minivan!
Before you start hunting for this unicorn on Porsche catalogues, keep in mind that this was a one-off custom vehicle built for Zuckerberg. Porsche isn’t taking orders for one anytime soon and we hope they don’t.
However, Zuckerberg commissioned Porsche and West Coast Customs to convert the Cayenne SUV into a family-hauling vehicle, creating a custom Porsche Cayenne Minivan.
The result? Well, let’s dive in to explore.
A look at the Porsche Cayenne Minivan by West Coast Customs
Mark’s wife American pediatrician and philanthropist Priscilla Chan wanted a minivan and Zuckerberg was probably unhappy with the choices available. Hence, he went to Porsche and got a bone-stock Cayenne Turbo GT SUV in a shade of grey. He then got it delivered to West Coast Customs – a vehicle customisation shop based in Los Angeles – and commissioned them to make a minivan out of it.
While none of the parties involved have shared intricate details of this one-off customs project, Zuckerberg has shared pictures and videos of the vehicle’s delivery and his wife’s priceless reactions.
The Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Minivan, which Mark Zuckerberg gifted his wife, is essentially a stretched version of the Cayenne SUV. Although most customisation shops stretch cars to make a limousine version, Zuckerberg’s Cayenne utilises the ‘stretch’ for accommodating sliding rear doors – a popular feature on most minivans in the US.
Although no pictures of the interiors have been shared, a video of the sliding door in action gives us a sneak peek into the rear seating row. The designers at West Coast Customs have given the Cayenne two individual captain seats to make the experience for the rear passengers luxurious. What remains to be seen is how the last row of the vehicle has been utilised – whether a large boot space, a third row of seating or housing a unique music system.

The front of the Cayenne Minivan has been left untouched, featuring the stock bumpers and the headlamps. Unlike most West Coast Customs creations, Zuckerberg’s Cayenne Minivan isn’t trying to go wild with a unique paint job or flashy wheels. It simply looks like a stretched Cayenne with sliding doors in the middle.
Is the Cayenne Minivan more powerful than its regular counterpart?
Sadly, Zuckerberg hasn’t shared any details on the engine and other performance aspects. The standard Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT (not what you call standard by any means) features a 650 hp V8 Petrol engine that has enough grunt to propel this SUV from 0-100 kph in 3.1 seconds. Flat out, the Cayenne Turbo GT can be maxed out at 305 kph! That’s fast for a luxury-centric SUV.
We believe that Zuckerberg’s Porsche Cayenne Minivan might not deliver the same kind of results owing to the added weight from those sliding doors and the altered vehicle dynamics. It certainly won’t be as fast as a regular Cayenne Turbo GT.
But, if Zuckerberg had chosen to keep the engine stock, his wife’s minivan would be the fastest one in town. Quite deserving of the Porsche badge on the hood, isn’t it?
Zuckerberg got something for himself, too
While his wife will be driving (or driven) around in a stretched-out Porsche Cayenne Minivan, Zuckerberg wanted to create a ‘his and hers’ moment by adding another vehicle to the lineup – a Porsche 911 GT3 Touring in the matching shade of light grey. Since Zuckerberg didn’t customise his performance-oriented Sports car, his Porsche will accelerate from 0-100 kph in 3.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 320 kph on the straights – much faster than his wife’s V8-powered minivan!
Not to forget, Zuckerberg will be enjoying his sonorous 4-litre straight-six Petrol engine on his way to work every morning, something the minivan won’t be able to replicate with its muted V8 engine. Zuck made a clever choice, didn’t he? Petrolheads would nod their heads in unison.
Earlier in August, Zuckerberg commissioned a giant sculpture of his wife for their backyard. The two met at Harvard University and started dating in 2003. They have been married since May 2012.
