Alabama Football Accused Of Rigging Games Under Nick Saban

Alabama football had a dominant run under Nick Saban.

The six National Championships speak for themselves, but they are only part of the story.

Under Saban’s reign the Crimson Tide ran roughshod over the entire SEC. There is a reason why his retirement this past year sent such massive shockwaves throughout college football, and why there has been so much scrutiny on the abrupt nature of the decision.

This week, unfortunately, Saban and Alabama found themselves on the wrong end of some very serious accusations.

According to former Vanderbilt quarterback Mo Hasan, a mobster approached him to rig a game during his playing days. In the process, he learned a lot about how rampant that activity was in the sport.

“I was approached at Jason Aldean’s bar in Nashville by the Italian Mob to fix football games… He offered me $300,000,” Hasan said.

“But University of Alabama, I will tell you that. [The mobster] said that almost every Game in the SEC is rigged,” he added.

Fans didn’t seem very surprised:

Saban is a one of a kind coach. Arguably the best in college Football History. His leaked recruiting video alone should put him in the Hall of Fame.

That said, it would be interesting to hear what he has to say about this.

Gambling is only taking an increasingly large role in all things sports these days.

Will Saban come in and comment on these allegations against Alabama football one way or the other? Time will tell.
