Adam Idah has reportedly informed Norwich City that he wants to return to Celtic. The 23-year-old striker, who became a fan favourite during his loan spell last season, is eager to reunite with Brendan Rodgers and continue his career at Celtic Park.

This development follows Norwich’s public rejection of a £4 million plus add-ons bid from Celtic, highlighting the challenging negotiations ahead.

Idah’s impressive stint at Celtic, where he scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists in just 19 appearances, made a significant impact.

His crucial goals against Hibs, Motherwell, and Rangers helped secure the league title, and his dramatic Scottish Cup winner against Rangers cemented his status among the fans. Brendan Rodgers was vocal about his desire to bring Idah back after that memorable performance, and it appears he may now get his wish.

To facilitate Idah’s move, Celtic are likely to off-set some of the transfer fee by selling South Korean striker Oh Hyeon-gyu. This move aims to balance the squad and ensure financial sustainability while securing a key player.

Despite Norwich’s initial rejection, Celtic remain determined to secure Idah. The Hoops have been relatively quiet in the transfer window so far, but Idah has been one of their top targets.

With the striker’s expressed desire to return and Celtic’s clear interest, Record Sport report that the Irishman is on the verge of a Celtic Park return.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
