The Scottish champions tabled an offer of £4 million plus additional incentives for the 23-year-old striker, but the Championship club has rejected the proposal, reports Football Scotland.

Norwich, intent on retaining Idah, values him significantly higher due to his form at Celtic at the end of last season.

Johannes Hoff Thorup, Norwich’s new manager, is reportedly keen to work with Idah, signalling the club’s reluctance to part ways with the young forward. The rejection puts Celtic in a position where they must decide whether to increase their bid, though Norwich has not set an asking price.

Celtic’s interest in Idah is driven by his impactful loan spell last season, where he was a key player in their domestic success, scoring many goals in the league and the winner in the Scottish Cup final.

Whether Celtic will make an improved offer or look elsewhere for striking reinforcements remains to be seen.
