Wolverhampton Wanderers' meetings with Arsenal have tended to be relatively one-sided during the Premier League era, with the Gunners usually coming out on top.

Bar a brief run of positive results shortly after they were promoted back into the top flight in 2018, Wolves have struggled to compete with an Arsenal side normally ranked among England's best sides.

Mikel Arteta's current Arsenal side have enjoyed themselves against the Old Gold in recent years, with Wolves desperate to end a difficult run sooner rather than later.

Here are the results of the last ten meetings between Wolves and Arsenal.

Arsenal were victorious in the first meeting between the sides during the 2023/24 campaign, a result that sent them four points clear at the top of the Premier League table in December. The Gunners put themselves in a strong position early on, with efforts from Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard within the opening 13 minutes.

The Gunners appeared to be sauntering to a routine victory but Matheus Cunha's goal four minutes from time gave Arteta's side a late scare. Despite some pressure from the visitors, Arsenal managed to hold on for a nervy win.

With Arsenal having already seen Manchester City lift the 2022/23 Premier League title, they took their frustrations of a second-placed finish out on Wolves on the final day. The Gunners found themselves two goals ahead by the 15th minute, Granit Xhaka bagging an early brace in what would be his final appearance for the club before a summer move to Bayer Leverkusen.

Bukayo Saka's curled effort made it three before the break, with Gabriel Jesus and Jakub Kiwior making it a thrashing with close range strikes in the second half. They may not have won the title, but it was the perfect example of just how devastating Arteta's men could be.

In their first meeting of the 2022/23 campaign, Arsenal had claimed another three points and clean sheet at Molineux. It was a result that sent the Gunners five points clear at the top of the table just before the halfway point in the season, even if it would mean very little come the end of the campaign.

Odegaard proved the saviour for the Gunners, netting his first of the evening ten minutes after the restart by tapping home Fabio Vieira's cross. He then grabbed a second with a neat finish following a scramble in the Wolves penalty area, with the Old Gold unable to reduce the deficit as the clocked ticked down.

Arsenal needed some late fortune to secure victory over the West Midlands side in February 2022, with Wolves having taken a surprise lead at the Emirates after Hwang Hee-chan capitalised on Gabriel's shocking back pass.

It looked as if it would be a frustrating defeat for the hosts but the much-maligned Nicolas Pepe netted an equaliser with just eight minutes remaining after a neat spin and finish from six yards out. But the Gunners weren't done there and secured a slightly fortuitous 95th-minute winner after Alexandre Lacazette's cross was flicked into his own net by Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa.

Just two weeks before their late turnaround in this fixture in north London, Arsenal had secured another victory against Wolves at Molineux in the Premier League. The Gunners took the lead through centre-back Gabriel after 25 minutes, with his namesake Gabriel Martinelli picking up a strange red card after the break.

The Brazilian was shown two yellow cards at the same time for offences that took place moments apart - the first booking for a stopping a throw-in from being taken and the second for a foul.

Despite Martinelli's odd dismissal, the Gunners held on for all three points - a result that began a run of five straight victories in this fixture.
