During a recent press conference, Porzingis explained how he rolled his ankle during the first-round game of the NBA playoffs against the Miami Heat. He stepped on Tyler Herro while going for a rebound, which caused him to roll his ankle and start compensating with the other side.

This resulted in a strained Soleus muscle similar to a strained calf.

Initially, there were concerns that Porzingis had suffered a serious Achilles injury, but subsequent diagnosis revealed that it was not as severe as first feared.
