Who will Inter Miami play in the Leagues Cup Round of 32? Knockout schedule and bracket
The second round of fixtures in the 2024 Leagues Cup concluded on Thursday with four more action-packed games. The headline performance from those fixtures was a resounding 4-0 victory for Portland Timbers against their Western Conference rivals Colorado Rapids.
The Leagues Cup action resumes on Saturday evening with reigning champions Inter Miami playing their final group stage Game. The Herons take on Liga MX giants Tigres UANL to decide top spot in their group. Both Miami and Tigres have already booked their places in the first knockout round.
Ahead of the final round of group stage fixtures, 16 teams have progressed from their groups: LAFC, Austin FC, LA Galaxy, Juarez, St Louis City, DC United, Philadelphia Union, FC Cincinnati, New York City FC, Seattle Sounders, Orlando City, Toluca, Sporting Kansas City, Portland Timbers, Tigres UANL and Inter Miami.
The two seeded teams, Columbus Crew and Club América, are also guaranteed of their place in the Round of 32.
Who will Inter Miami play in the Leagues Cup?
Since the overhaul in 2023, Leagues Cup now features all 47 teams in MLS and Liga MX. Domestic comPetition is put on hold for a month for the pan-continental tournament.
The 2024 Leagues Cup began with a 45-team group stage, with entrants divided into 15 groups of three teams. The top two in each group will progress to the Round of 32 phase, along with Club América and Columbus Crew. Here’s a look at the bracket for the 2024 Leagues Cup...
Inter Miami were drawn in the E3 group in the first round of the Leagues Cup, meaning that they will play one of the three teams from E6: Pachuca, Toronto FC or New York Red Bulls. Both E3 and E6 will reach a conclusion this weekend, meaning that Inter Miami will soon know their Round of 32 opponents.
The final group stage Games of the 2024 Leagues Cup be played from Saturday 3 to Tuesday 6, August. Once the group stage has concluded the Round of 32, the first knockout round, will begin on August 9. Columbus Crew and Club América will be among the first teams to play.
