Who was Khyree Jackson, the Vikings rookie who died in a car accident
Khyree Jackson, who was killed in a car crash in Temple Hills, Maryland on the evening of Friday, July 5, was a cornerback who had been picked by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
The 24 year-old from Upper Marlboro, Maryland was at Oregon in the 2023 season, where he was named First Team All Pac-12 for his performances.

The Vikings released a statement in the aftermath of Jackson’s death:
“We are devastated by the news of Khyree Jackson’s death following an overnight car accident. While we work to gather more information, we have spoken to Khyree’s family and offered the support of the Minnesota Vikings. We have also communicated the news to Vikings players, coaches and staff and have offered counseling for those who need emotional support. Our thoughts are with Khyree’s family, friends, teaMMAtes and coaches, as well as all the victims of this tragic accident.”
