The Minnesota Timberwolves have had a rollercoaster journey since their birth in 1989. Despite several promising seasons, they have yet to reach the NBA Finals. In their early years, they struggled to find success, but the franchise found some footing when they drafted Kevin Garnett back in 1995.

The team made its first playoff appearance in 1997, reaching the Western Conference Finals but falling short against the Seattle SuperSonics. The 2003–2004 season was the pinnacle for the Timberwolves. Led by Garnett, they advanced to the Western Conference Finals once again, but the Los Angeles Lakers proved too formidable.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are on a mission to achieve NBA glory

Garnett left the team back in 2007, and the Timberwolves faced ups and downs once again. They drafted Karl-Anthony Towns in 2015, hoping for a resurgence, and although the team hasn’t made an NBA final appearance, with Towns, the team has gotten closer to the finals. Now with Antony Edwards also on the team, they seem like they are able to reach glory.

The Timberwolves are back in the playoffs, but they will have to beat Luka and his Dallas Mavericks. They also had some trouble reaching the finals after Dirk left the team, and this might be their moment.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have never reached the NBA Finals, but their journey continues. Perhaps this year will be their moment. ComPeting in the Western Conference makes playoff contention difficult, but if a team can do it, it is this Timberwolves one.
