What we know about Josh Berry’s NASCAR Cup Series car featuring Caitlin Clark in the 2024 Brickyard 400
In a move that will surely turn heads, the WNBA’s No. 1 overall pick in this year’s Draft will be featured on the hood of one of NASCAR’s biggest stars and with that one has to imagine that her star will rise even higher.
Josh Berry to feature Caitlin Clark’s likeness on his Ford
While the announcement will undoubtedly turn heads, the idea that Panini America, the primary sponsor for Josh Berry’s No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford in this weekend’s Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, is set to showcase a special paint scheme featuring rising WNBA superstar and Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark, shouldn’t come as a surprise. Indeed, Clark who is one of the biggest names in American Sports this year, will have her likeness featured on the hood of the car promoting Panini’s newly released Caitlin Clark Collection, specifically focusing on her “Raining 3s” trading card.
To be clear, this is the first time that Panini is sponsoring a car at the Cup Series level since 2021, and with that, the company is now set to be an associate sponsor for Berry’s team for the remainder of the season. It is understood that the Panini logo will be featured on Berry’s car as well as his firesuit, meaning the brand will be well and truly showcased when the man many believe to be this year’s Cup Rookie of the Year engages in the numerous trackside activities that he’s scheduled to participate in.
Speaking about this weekend’s race, Berry was quick to point out the honor of not only being able to drive in such an event but spreading the word about Caitlin Clark as well. “Every racecar driver wants to compete at Indy. It’s hallowed ground that all of us treat with a tremendous amount of respect,” Berry said in a press release. “To be there with Panini and promote its new Caitlin Clark Collection just adds to the prestige of racing in the Brickyard 400. Indy is a great sports town and it’s an honor to have Caitlin Clark as a part of our effort.” Be sure to check out Berry and his Caitlin Clark promoting car this weekend when the Brickyard 400 gets underway on Sunday, July 21st, at 2:30 p.m. ET.
