With the 88th edition of the Masters set to begin on Thursday, Golf fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the tee times for Rounds 1 and 2. Now that we’ve got them we’re taking a look at the answer to the main question that everybody has: When is Tiger Woods teeing off and who is he paired with?

Tiger Woods is back at Augusta National

Should he manage to win it all, the 2024 Masters would be the 6th time that Tiger Woods has won at the famous Augusta National course in Georgia. Of course, to do that, Woods will have to overcome a stacked field that includes the likes of current world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, reigning Masters champion Jon Rahm, and longtime friend Rory McIlroy. To be clear, this year’s tournament will be the 26th time that Woods has made an appearance at the tournament having played in every edition since 1995 except three (2014, 2017, and 2021). During that time, he notched nine top-10 finishes, including four victories, between 1997 and 2008

You may recall that he was forced to withdraw from the tournament in the third round last year due to extreme foot pain, the result of a terrible car crash that he suffered in 2021. Indeed, after withdrawal, he would end up undergoing surgery to repair the damage to his right ankle. Yet, as much as Woods has been one of the premier players of the sport, it’s worth noting that aside from his incredible win in 2019 - his fifth win - the 48-year-old has only ever finished in the top 15 on one other occasion since 2012 and that was in 2013 when he tied for fourth.

Now, regarding when he is set to play in this year’s tournament, Woods will tee off in Round 1 on Thursday and he will do so alongside Jason Day and Max Homa at 1:24 p.m. ET. Other notable groups include the above-mentioned Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler who was the winner of the 2022 Masters, and Xander Schauffele, all of whom will tee off at 10:42 a.m. ET. There is also the reigning masters champion, John Rahm, who headlines a group that includes Matt Fitzpatrick and Nick Dunlap. They will tee off at 10:30 a.m. ET. As for Woods’ tee time in Round 2 on Friday, you can see him, Homa and Day get going at 10:18 a.m. ET.
