On Thursday we saw some low scores as the Irish squad of Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry shot 11-under par in the four-ball format. On Friday teams will play alternate shot (foursomes) and will have a harder time shooting low scores. Friday’s play should be faster and very entertaining for Golf fans. Some of Golf’s top names have made it down to New Orleans with the exception of Scottie Scheffler, who is expecting his first child to be born any day now.

The weather is perfect in Louisiana and the 2-man teams are struggling to make birdies. McIlroy and Lowry, who were picked by many Golf experts as favorites to win this weekend, have had their ups and downs so far today. As most Golf fans know, team Golf can provide some big surprises and lesser known players can make it to the top of the leaderboard if the chemistry is right and they can make the big shots when needed, as is the case at the moment with Rai/Lipsky and Tarren/Skinns at the top of the leaderboard.
