Kris Boyd certainly did not enjoy Rangers’ 3-0 defeat to Celtic at Celtic Park this afternoon.

The former Rangers striker and Ibrox cheerleader went into a full meltdown post-match.

Boyd said: (Sky Sports), “You don’t get time in Football. You think Rangers fans are sitting at home absolutely delighted watching Celtic celebrate in front of the TV watching their teams performance there? It is embarrassing. Embarrassing.

“You’ve got a captain – I know James Tavernier has had his critics over the years – go and show a two minute clip of why Celtic totally dominated that Game. It was summed up within two minutes. James Tavernier labouring back when he lost the ball in the middle of the pitch, to Kyogo running the full length to tackling Tom Lawrence. That is the difference.”

Boyd has already turned on Rangers boss Philippe Clement and the Rangers players, emphasising just how well Celtic played this afternoon and showing how the performance made Boyd lose his cool.

Celtic are in a strong position coming out of the transfer window, having emerged even stronger with greater depth.

Signings like Arne Engels, Luke McCowan, Auston Trusty, and Alex Valle add to the squad, and in the coming months, they will have the opportunity to further enhance an already impressive starting 11.

With the Champions League approaching, Celtic look poised to make a serious impact in the comPetition for the first time in a decade.

It’s certainly an exciting period for the club under Brendan Rodgers’ leadership.
