James Forrest added Celtic’s second goal off the bench, giving the Hoops a 2-1 lead against Aberdeen.

Having been substituted onto the pitch just a minute earlier, Forrest combined with Reo Hatate and drove from the left wing to the edge of the box.

He then unleashed a curled effort into the bottom right corner of the goal past Kelle Roos, with Aberdeen defender Angus MacDonald appearing to step over the ball, believing that the shot would not challenge Roos, with the goal coming in the 63rd minute.

The goal will be all the more special for Forrest, as it marks his 105th goal for Celtic in yet another cup semi-final.

The Hoops winger, who made his Celtic first-team debut in May 2010, has continued to make an impact every season, scoring in each of his 15 seasons at the club.

Brendan Rodgers clearly still values Forrest, with the Irishman previously labeling him the best winger at the club.

At the time, this comment may have confused some, but with goals like this afternoon’s, with the Game level, it is clear why Rodgers rates him so highly.
