WATCH: Actress Mahira Khan shares childhood memory of grandmother's reaction to 'yaar'
Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan, who enjoys immense popularity in neighbouring India as well, revealed that her grandmother had a strong aversion to the word "yaar."
Recently, a short video clip of Mahira's interview went viral on social media, where the actress explained "My grandmother really disliked the word 'yaar.' Perhaps during her time, someone used it in a way that made her detest it."
She continued, "I used to use the word 'yaar' a lot in front of my grandmother, sometimes calling my mother 'yaar' and sometimes even my grandmother. I didn't know back then that she didn't like the word."
One day, her grandmother asked if she knew the meaning of 'yaar.' When Mahira replied that she didn't, her grandmother told her, "When you find out the meaning of this word, come to me."
Mahira often talks about her grandmother in interviews, sharing her likes and dislikes, and the significant role her grandmother played in her upbringing. It's evident from these discussions that she was very close to her grandmother, just as she is with her mother.
