The Golden State Warriors’ failure to make the NBA playoffs last year led to a lot of introspection within the franchise.

Ultimately, all parties involved decided it was time to make major changes. First Klay Thompson was ousted from the organization in relatively messy fashion. Then Buddy Hield was added.

Golden State has also been linked to a Lauri Markkanen trade with the Utah Jazz, but their refusal to include one key piece has prevented a deal from actually going down.

This week the Warriors were linked to a fascinating three-team NBA trade with involving the New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trail Blazers.

As noted by Fadeaway World, in this propose deal Golden State would get a legit star in Brandon Ingram who no longer really fits into New Orleans’ long-term plans.

The Pelicans, meanwhile, would get Deandre Ayton and Toumani Camara.

Finally, Portland would walk away with Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II and the Warriors’ 2026 first-round pick.

This could be a win-win-win for all sides.

Obviously the Blazers are also on the verge of making a blockbuster trade with the Los Angeles Lakers, but that wouldn’t really effect this in any way.

The Warriors need to make one more big move this summer, and acquiring Ingram would definitely fit the bill.
