Travis Kelce breaks down his top three Taylor Swift songs, shares their ‘sentimental meaning’
He belongs with her.
Travis Kelce gushed about Taylor Swift’s talent — and broke down his top three of her songs — during a “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast interview Monday.
The Kansas City Chiefs player, 34, told co-hosts Taylor Lewan and Will Compton that his No. 1 is “Blank Space” because “that was the first one” he loved listening to.
“I really started listening to Taylor’s music when she came out with ‘1989,’” the athlete recalled. “I’m gonna say ‘Blank Space’ because … it’s a banger.”
The tight end clarified that he “knew who she was before that.”
He explained, “We were the same age, through high school I knew who Taylor was as she was getting her career started. But ‘1989’ was where it really started to go crazy.”
Kelce went on to give “Cruel Summer” his No. 2 spot, linking it to the July 2023 Eras Tour show he attended in Missouri before meeting and dating Swift.
“‘Cruel Summer’ is one of the ones she opens with at her show, and when she comes out, it’s electric,” he said. “I was fired up when that happened the first show I was ever at.”
Notably, Kelce tried and failed to give Swift his phone number on a friendship bracelet at that concert — and the duo started dating that summer.
Since the pair went public in September 2023, the pop star released “The Tortured Poets Department” album and seemingly wrote about their romance.

Kelce mentioned one of the songs “So High School” in Monday’s interview, saying it’s his third favorite because “it’s got a little bit of a sentimental meaning.”
When the co-hosts said it was “about” him, Kelce replied, “I think so.”
He subsequently referenced the track’s famous line, saying, “You know how to ball, I know Aristotle, man!”
Elsewhere in the interview, Kelce reflected on how he initially fell for Swift due to how “grounded” and “self-aware” the singer is.
“It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention and she keeps it so chill and so cool and I can admire it for sure,” he gushed, praising Swift for how she acted when meeting his family.
