The Utah State Aggies and the Washington State Cougars meet Saturday in college Football action from Martin Stadium. Here’s a Washington State vs Utah State prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Washington State vs Utah State pick.

Utah State Aggies Betting Preview

Utah State beat Robert Morris 36-14 in their opener matchup this year, then hit a rough losing streak. The Aggies’ next six Games were losses to USC, Utah, Temple, Boise State, UNLV and New Mexico. Utah State stopped the slide with a win over Wyoming.

Back on October 26 in the Wyoming Game, the Aggies scored 10 points in both the second and fourth quarters for a 27-25 result. QB Spencer Petras threw for 194 yards and two scores, while Rahsul Faison carried 23 times for 131 yards and a TD to lead the rushers.

Washington State Cougars Betting Preview

Over on the Washington State side, they took their lone loss so far to Boise State 45-24 on September 28. Otherwise it’s been wins over Portland State, Texas Tech, Washington, San Jose State, Fresno State, Hawaii and San Diego State.

The Cougars had a close call in their match with San Diego State. Washington State posted a 15-7 edge in the fourth quarter to power out the 29-26 victory. QB John Mateer had 257 yards with two touchdowns and also led the rush with 42 yards and two more scores.

Washington State vs Utah State Prediction

I’m going to stay with Washington State. The Cougars didn’t exactly play their best in their latest matchup versus San Diego State, but they’ve had plenty of time to rest and Gameplan since then. Washington State posted 371 total yards against the Aztecs but went a tepid 5-of-12 on third-down tries. Defensively the Cougars gave up 414 yards and 5.8 yards per play.

As for Utah State, they’ve got some pressure off of themselves by winning that matchup with Wyoming. The Aggies were pretty bad on third downs though (3-of-13) and committed eight penalties for 77 yards. This weekend’s comPetition will ratchet up even further, and I don’t think the Aggies will keep pace in the end.

Andrew's Free Pick: Washington State Cougars -20.5
