The news of a new 'craft your own' salad restaurant has the community in this Ulster County town buzzing.

Hoping to open their doors by year's end, New Paltz is preparing for a new spot called Butterhead Salad Company.

'Lettuce Feed Your Soul' - Butterhead Salad Company

The street sign is already prominently hanging on Main Street in New Paltz, getting the community talking about soon-to-be Butterhead Salad Company in the Main Street Plaza.

The Business itself, owned and operated by Hudson Valley native Sabena Branche, who decided to leave her career, and the long commute in order to build Butterhead Salad Company, had envisioned opening a craft your own salad restaurant.

With their Main Street Beacon location serving up fresh, made to order, customizable salad creations since last year, news of another spot, soon to open across the river in New Paltz, was just announced.

Butterhead Salad Company Announces New Paltz Location

Before we close the book on 2024, New Paltz will have a fresh new eatery to try out for made to order salads, warm rice bowls, quinoa bowls, seasonal specials and even catering platters and trays.

When they posted the announcement of the New Paltz location on social media, it was received with a great deal of excitement and positive feedback. A few 'WOOT WOOTs,' one comment calling the Business announcement 'a dream come true, and the following are just a few of the thoughts from the local community:
