England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford sends message to Gareth Southgate over Cole Palmer situation.

 England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has taken a slight aim at Gareth Southgate’s decision to not start Cole Palmer and has told the England Manager that the Chelsea star is ready to feature for the Three Lions.

The England number one believes Palmer is of great importance to the team and deserves to start given his quality.

Pickford is convinced he could make an impact if he gets on the pitch, too.

When asked how Palmer is looking, Pickford told ITV Sport: “Yeah, he’s been quality in training. I know he slotted four past me for Chelsea last season. We all know the quality he has. He’s another one who’s ready if he gets selected.”

England have only scored two goals in two matches so far at the Euros. The alarming truth is that they’ve looked pretty stale and quiet as an attacking threat for large spells.
