TikTok testing subscription based ad-free version of its app
TikTok has confirmed the testing of an ad-free subscription tier for its users.
First reported by Android Authority, TikTok is currently giving the option to users to select between the free version of the app with ads or upgrading it to an ad-free version.
TikTok has confirmed that it is testing the new option only in a single, English-speaking market outside the US. As of now, the ad-free TikTok experience would cost users $4.99 per month. The final price might differ based on the results of the testing phase.
