Thomas Partey reveals future plans amid Arsenal exit rumours
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has insisted he is 'happy' at the club despite rumours linking him with a move abroad.
Partey was handed a rare start against Luton Town on Wednesday night having missed much of the 2023/24 season so far due to injuries.
His contract is up in 2025 and he has been linked with a transfer away from the Emirates Stadium, with Spain, Italy and Saudi Arabia often touted as potential destinations.
But the 30-year-old has swept aside rumours that he is set for a summer move and has hinted he may look for a new deal at Arsenal.
Speaking after his first start for Arsenal since August, Partey said: "My head is always here. This is where I choose to play, I'm really happy every time I'm on the field.
"I know a lot of speculation has been going on, but for me, I'm really happy to be here and to continue playing for this club. With my contract, I still have to the end of the season, I think. I have to do my best and try to perform at the highest level and I think the most important thing is to be available every time."
Arsenal have offered contract extensions to many core players recently, with Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu committing their futures to the Gunners.
Partey has made only nine appearances for Arsenal this season, and will hope to make the squad when they face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.
He has not made a Champions League appearance this term but is in contention to face Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals.
