The Minnesota Twins and the Tampa Bay Rays meet Wednesday in MLB action from Tropicana Field. Here’s a Tampa Bay Rays vs Minnesota Twins prediction. This will be the third installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Rays vs Twins pick.

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

Over the weekend the Twins took on the Toronto Blue Jays. Minnesota lost Saturday 15-0 but won the other pair for a series victory. After a 5-4 win over the Rays on Monday, in Game two the Twins posted six hits in a tough loss 2-1. Starter David Festa finished with 5.0 innings and both earned runs.

In the starter slot for Minnesota on Wednesday it’ll be Ronny Henriquez. So far over nine games Henriquez is 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA. In his career Henriquez is 1-1 with a 2.38 ERA in 12 games.

Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview

Over on the Rays’ side, they lost two of three games to the San Diego Padres over the weekend. On Tuesday Tampa Bay scored both their runs in the fourth inning. Jeffrey Springs left after 6.0 innings and the one earned run.

Starter for Wednesday will be the Rays’ Cole Sulser. Over six Games this year without a decision Sulser has a 5.40 ERA. In 135 career Games Sulser is 7-13 with a 3.96 ERA.

Tampa Bay Rays vs Minnesota Twins Prediction

I’ll probably lean toward Tampa Bay. Also probably not touching it, though. It’ll be a bullpen Game on both sides, and Sulser probably won’t be in there for more than a couple of innings. In his last outing Sulser went 2.2 frames with one hit, three walks and no earned. Henriquez is coming off a clean inning on Monday.

In Tuesday’s matchup the Rays didn’t get a ton of production from their hitters but the pitching staff took care of the heavy lifting. I like Tampa Bay to keep it going, but I’m staying away. This one’s going to have a lot of variables.
