MLS pick today: St. Louis City SC ML over LA Galaxy (-110), 1:00 pm ET

St. Louis City slipped up against Dallas last time out but with Seattle Sounders faltering in the Western Conference, the home team has the chance to capitalize in this matchup of the top and bottom teams in the Western Conference standings. The LA Galaxy have already lost 9 games in the league this season and are poor on the road. For that reason, backing St. Louis City to win will be our play.

MLB pick today: Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 over Minnesota Twins (-104), 1:37 pm ET

Kevin Gausman has completely swapped his home and away splits from last season. Last season, Gausman struggled at home with a 4-7 record and a 4.57 ERA but was excellent on the road with an 8-3 record and a 2.30 ERA. This season however, Gausman has been lights out in Toronto with a 2-0 record and a 1.65 ERA and has been mediocre on the road with a 3-3 record with a 3.76 ERA. Fortunately for Gausman, this afternoon’s start will be at home.

On the other side, Minnesota’s Louie Varland is coming off his worst start of his season. He was shelled by the Rays for 7 runs on 6 hits, including 2 home runs, to go along with 4 walks. Given the gap in the pitching matchup, backing the Blue Jays to win on the run line will be our play.

MLB pick today: St. Louis Cardinals ML over Cincinnati Reds (-134), 2:15 pm ET

The Reds have been one of the most exciting teams in Major League Baseball to begin June. With young talent across their lineup already, they will have rising star starting pitcher Hunter Greene toe the rubber for this series decider. That being said, the Cardinals’ offense isn’t uncomfortable with pitchers like him who have a one-dimensional repertoire. Greene’s only effective off-speed weapon is a slider, a pitch that St. Louis ranks #3 off of over the last 30 days in run value/100.

Meanwhile, Adam Wainwright has been utterly atrocious so far, but it is his 11th percentile barrel rate allowed that has hurt him. The Reds don’t hurt pitchers this way often—they rank #29 in barrel rate as a team. For that reason, expect Wainwright to keep this game competitive, the Cardinals’ bats to positively regress, and back the Cardinals to pick up the win.

MLS pick today: Portland Timbers vs FC Dallas – Under 2.5 goals (-110), 10:00 pm ET

Dallas has not been in great form in MLS play and tonight’s game against Portland could be short of goals. The Timbers have scored only once in their last 4 games and three of their last 4 MLS games have ended with under 2.5 goals. For that reason, backing the under 2.5 goals will be our play.
